These are some of the local events that I hope to attend. I normally attend these events with my friend Lynn of Flip Flops wool Socks from Paris KY. She is my partner in wool event happenings. We share yarns, fibers and ideas. She and I also love doing things with the Kentucky Llama and Alpaca Association ( KLAA ) . Some of the events we are there for ourselves or our favorite club. Sometimes we are just visiting and not participating.
Starting in early May, a new festival for woolers started a couple or few years ago that KLAA participates with the Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival held at Masterson Station in Lexington, KY. Lots of individual vendors selling food and wool products. There will be some fiber animals for sale as well. More information can be found on their web-site . www.kentuckysheepand fiber.com
Llama Daze is a fun gathering of KLAA( Kentucky Llama Alpaca Association). It is on a smaller scale festival also in late May always close to Labor Day that is really growing with lots of help with local vendors in Scott County Park in Georgtown , KYMany breeders are there with livestock to inform the community with hands on experiences and sheering often takes place there on site. If you are interested in being a vendor or want other information contact KLAA ( Kentucky Llama Alpaca Association ) by facebook
